Who we are
WorthWatch is a curated channel discovery platform that helps people find YouTube channels and creators that may be worth their time.
WorthWatch is published and operated by Smart Code LTD. Privacy questions can be sent to worthwatch@yahoo.com or through our Contact page.
For privacy-related questions, email worthwatch@yahoo.com or use the Contact page.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to WorthWatch public pages, including category pages, channel pages, editorial summaries, SEO guide pages, About, Contact, and future advertising-related pages.
It does not apply to external websites or platforms we link to. When you leave WorthWatch and visit another service, that service's own privacy policy applies.
Information we collect
If you use the Contact page, we may collect the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, topic, subject, and message.
We use Contact information only to review and respond to your message, protect the website from abuse, and maintain necessary operational records.
When you visit WorthWatch, limited technical information may be processed to operate and protect the website. This may include device and browser information, pages visited, dates and times of access, referral information, performance information, and basic security signals.
If performance measurement is enabled, WorthWatch may record privacy-light pageview events such as page path, referrer domain, device class, viewport width, time of visit, and a short-lived non-reversible request fingerprint. We do not use these events to create public profiles of visitors.
WorthWatch may use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate public site usage, such as which pages are visited, how visitors navigate the site, device categories, approximate geography, and traffic sources. This helps us improve editorial navigation, page structure, and site performance. The Google Analytics tag is initialized with analytics storage denied by default, and pageview measurement is sent only according to the consent choices available on the site.
WorthWatch also records privacy-light outbound click events when visitors choose to open an external source link. These events help us understand whether recommendations are useful. They are not used to create public profiles of visitors.
Contact form protection
To reduce spam and abuse, the Contact form uses basic protective checks such as validation, rate limiting, timing checks, and non-reversible request fingerprints.
We do not intentionally store raw IP addresses or raw request headers for Contact messages.
Cookies and similar technologies
WorthWatch may use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, site functionality, advertising, measurement, security, and abuse prevention.
These technologies may be used by WorthWatch or by third-party services, including Google, to operate the website, understand aggregate usage, protect the site, measure performance, and support advertising.
WorthWatch currently works with Adsterra to display banner advertising in selected public placements. The current integration is configured without optional advertising tracking on WorthWatch.
Visitors can turn advertising display off through Manage privacy choices. Optional advertising storage remains controlled separately for any future integration that requires it.
Visitors can manage available choices through the cookie and consent interface where it is available.
Where legally required, visitors will be asked for consent before non-essential cookies or personalized advertising technologies are used.
Advertising partner
WorthWatch currently uses Adsterra for banner advertising. The active placement is configured without optional advertising tracking on WorthWatch.
Advertising providers operate under their own policies when a visitor chooses to open an advertisement or leave WorthWatch.
How we use information
We use collected information to operate WorthWatch, protect the website from abuse, respond to Contact messages, understand general site usage, measure outbound interest in recommended sources, improve page quality and user experience, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use visitor personal information to create public scoring decisions. WorthWatch evaluates content sources, not individual visitors.
Legal basis
Where applicable, we process information based on legitimate interests, consent, legal obligations, or the need to respond to requests submitted by visitors.
Legitimate interests include operating the website, improving the experience, measuring aggregate usefulness, preventing abuse, and protecting site integrity.
External links
WorthWatch links to external media platforms, creator pages, and third-party websites.
When you click an external link, you leave WorthWatch. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of external services.
Sharing information
We do not sell personal information.
We may use service providers needed to operate the website, such as hosting, security, analytics, database, or advertising providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect the security, rights, or integrity of WorthWatch.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed.
Contact messages may be kept while they are being reviewed or answered, then deleted when no longer needed. Outbound click and operational records may be kept in limited or aggregated form to understand site performance and protect the service.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent regarding your personal information.
You may send privacy requests through the Contact page. We may need to verify the request before responding.
To make a privacy request, use the Contact page.
Children's privacy
WorthWatch is not designed to collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as WorthWatch evolves, especially if we add new features or third-party services that affect how information is handled.
The "Last updated" date will show when the policy was most recently changed.
